Goodell says NFL considering proposal to end extra points

NFL commissioner Roger Goodell says the league could consider eliminating extra points following touchdowns. Goodell, according to an interview on NFL.com, said there is a proposal to eliminate extra-point kicks and automatically make touchdowns worth seven instead of six points. Teams would have the option to run or pass for an additional point after touchdowns, but they would only get six for the touchdown if the try fails.
