The discovery of a dead body inside a Lawrence house late Friday has prompted a homicide investigation and a search for a 19-year-old woman who also lived there.

Lawrence police said Saturday that Sarah Brooke Gonzales McLinn has not been seen in several days.

Police said they were looking McLinn, who had been reported missing by family members, when they went to the home in the 2900 block of West 26th Street late Friday and discovered the body of a man who had suffered traumatic injuries.

McLinn may be traveling in a dark gray or blue 2008 four-door Nissan Altima four-door with Kansas “In God We Trust” license number AK149, according to police.

Anyone with information about McLinn is asked to call Lawrence police at 785-832-7509 or Douglas County CrimeStoppers at 785-843-8477.
