Man is killed outside City Hall in Kansas City, Kan.

A man was fatally shot Thursday afternoon outside City Hall in downtown Kansas City, Kan.
Witnesses, including at least one police officer, reported hearing multiple gunshots about 3:15 p.m. Thursday before the victim was discovered between City Hall in the 700 block of North Seventh Street and the county health department, which is just east of City Hall, police said.
The victim, reportedly shot in the head, was rushed to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Police shut down Ann Avenue between Sixth and Seventh streets for several hours while they investigated. Officers canvassed the area seeking witnesses. They are asking anyone who saw something to call the TIPS Hotline at 816-474-8477.
