Gunman robs convenience store of money, pack of cigarettes

A gunman robbed a Shawnee Quik Trip early Sunday and fled with undisclosed amount of cash, police said.

The robbery occurred shortly after 1 a.m. at the store located in the 11900 block of Johnson Drive. Police said a man walked into store and purchased a pack of cigarettes. He pulled out a handgun and demanded money as the clerk opened cash drawer. The gunman took some cash and the pack of cigarettes and fled southbound on foot. No injuries were reported, according to police.

Police did not released a detailed description of the robber. The incident remains under investigation.
