Body find in vacant east KC home launches homicide probe

Authorities on Tuesday investigated what they considered a homicide on Kansas City’s east side.

Kansas City police officers responded at about 10 a.m. to a call regarding a vacant residence in the 3500 block of Flora Avenue. There they found a deceased man described as being in his mid-20s.

While the cause of death remained unknown, police were investigating the death as a homicide. Anyone with information is asked to call the TIPS Hotline at 816 474-TIPS (8477).
