Winter weather alert: 2 to 4 inches of snow likely, with bitter wind chills to follow

A winter weather advisory has been issued for the Kansas City area as snow, wind and bitter cold are forecast to settle in starting on Wednesday afternoon. The National Weather Service predicts 2 to 4 inches of snow will fall across the area in the afternoon and evening, beginning north of Interstate 70 and then moving south.
