A man was assaulted and robbed outside of a Leawood movie theater Wednesday night and police on Friday released photos of a possible suspect vehicle.

The crime was reported about 11:15 p.m. Wednesday in the parking lot outside of the theater at 117th Street and Nall Avenue.

The victim told police that he was walking to his vehicle when another man got out of a white SUV and asked if he could spare a few dollars. Before the victim could answer, the suspect physically attacked him and stole his wallet, according to police. The suspect fled towards Nall in the SUV.

Anyone with information about the crime is asked to call Leawood police at 913-642-7700 or the TIPS Hotline at 816-474-8477.
