Gunman forces driver out of vehicle during Raytown carjacking

A man armed with a handgun forced a driver out of his vehicle during a carjacking in Raytown Wednesday evening.
The victim told police that he was sitting in his vehicle about 5:50 p.m. in the area of Blue Ridge Boulevard and Spring Valley Road when a man in his early to mid-20s approached.
The victim said the man knocked on the driver’s window, pointed a handgun at the victim and ordered him out of the car.
After the victim got out, the carjacker got into the vehicle and drove away.
Police found the stolen vehicle about an hour later in the 8400 block of Kentucky Avenue in Raytown.
The victim was not injured.
