Aspen Contracting, a Lee’s Summit firm specializing in repairing post-storm building damage around the nation, plans to add 300 jobs in its sales, production and project management operations.

The company was started in 2006 by L.C. Nussbeck with three employees and now has 500 workers and offices in all 48 states in the lower U.S.

The new jobs are full time with benefits and are mostly commission based. First-year representatives can earn from $40,000 to $80,000, said Chris Moreno, director of recruiting and development for Aspen. He added most sales representatives work from seven to 10 months a year because of the nature of the job.

Aspen specializes in reroofing, siding and guttering replacement for homes and businesses damaged by storms and natural disasters. The firm was ranked as the nation’s top residential steep-slope roofing company this year in Roofing Contractor, a trade publication.

Nussbeck said his firm has managed to prosper despite a downturn in his industry.

“That’s why Aspen Contracting is proud to announce our plans to triple our staff with the goal of creating over 300 new jobs heading into 2014,” he said in a statement.

The job requires traveling throughout the U.S. to assist homeowners with their insurance claims. No experience or education requirements are necessary, according to Moreno.

Applicants should contact Moreno at or apply on the company website at
