Man found dead in KCK apparently killed by driver days earlier

A man found dead in Kansas City, Kan., Tuesday afternoon was the apparent victim of a hit-and-run incident several days earlier, police said Wednesday.
The man’s body was found about 4 p.m. Tuesday in the 1800 block of Bayard Avenue.
Police believe he was struck by an unknown type of vehicle sometime between 6 and 8 a.m. Friday. The man had a red bicycle in his possession at the time he was struck on southbound 18th Street Expressway, just north of the Kansas Avenue off-ramp, police reported.
The man’s identity has not been released. Anyone with information is asked to call the TIPS Hotline at 816-474-8477.
