The president of the Missouri Federation of Police Chiefs has been found dead, and a coroner says the death was not due to natural causes.
KOMU-TV reports Huntsville Police Chief William "Buddy" Stuck was found dead shortly before 5:30 a.m. Wednesday at his home in the central Missouri town.
Stuck, 64, was in law enforcement for more than 25 years. The death was confirmed by the police department, the sheriff's department and Randolph County Coroner Gerald Luntsford, who says foul play has not been ruled out.
The Missouri Highway Patrol's Division of Drug and Crime Control is helping investigate. An autopsy is planned Friday.
Huntsville Mayor Debbie Webster said Stuck also drove a school bus and was a volunteer with the fire department.
Huntsville is about 45 miles north of Columbia.
