Reward money available for information in the 2012 shooting death of Raytown jogger Harry Stone has reached $5,775.
The 60 year-old father and fitness enthusiast was shot May 13, 2012, while jogging near 67th Street and Blue Ridge Boulevard, not far from his Raytown home. He died at a hospital.
Police said two men in a car drove past Stone and, without slowing down, opened fire. Investigators believe that a shooters were in a dark-colored, four-door car that was captured on surveillance video near the scene. The slaying could have been part of a gang initiation or a dare.
Family members said that Stone was planning to join them to climb Aspen Mountain in Colorado. He also enjoyed spending time with his family and helping neighbors.
