Credit union robbed inside Blue Springs grocery store

A man robbed a Blue Springs bank Wednesday and fled with undisclosed amount of cash, according to federal authorities.

The incident occurred about 3:30 p.m. at the CommunityAmerica Credit Union inside the Hy-Vee in the 600 block of U.S. 40. No weapon was displayed and there were no injuries.

The man was described as white, in his early 30s, 6-feet to 6-feet-2-inches tall, about 180 pounds and with short brown hair. He was wearing a black hoodie, a gray sweatshirt and gray sweatpants, white sneakers and and a camouflage cap.

He let the scene in a red, four-door Chevrolet Cavalier or Pontiac Sunfire.
