Kansas City police are searching for the occupants of a small white car from which someone fired the shots that killed a man Monday in central Kansas City.
The shooting was reported about 5:30 p.m. Monday at 35th Street and Park Avenue. Police said that two men were walking together when someone in the passing car began shooting at them.
When police arrived they found one of the men dead at the corner. The other man was found wounded down the street. Witnesses said he ran south on Park while the occupants of the car continued to fire at him. Police said he was expected to survive his wounds.
