A registered sex offender living in Wichita was charged Wednesday with raping a 13-year-old multiple times over a two-day period.
Terrill L. Andrews, 40, faces three counts of rape after allegedly having unlawful sexual intercourse with the child between Oct. 10 and Oct. 12, according to a complaint filed this week in Sedgwick County District Court. According to a police incident report connected to the case, a 50-year-old woman called authorities shortly before 4:30 p.m. Saturday to say that the child had been “forcibly raped” three times in two days. The report identified the suspect as an acquaintance of the victim.
Andrews was arrested Saturday at his apartment in the 1200 block of North Matthewson on suspicion of rape, sexual exploitation of a child and harboring a runaway, Sedgwick County Jail booking records show. He remained in custody Wednesday evening in lieu of $350,000 bond and is due back in court Oct. 30 for a preliminary hearing.
Andrews, whose name appears the national sex offender registry, was convicted of rape and sodomy in 2003 in a Great Lakes, Ill., case.
