Northland teen charged in shooting of man after argument over chores

Clay County authorities have charged a 17-year-old in the shooting death of a man after an argument over chores.

Tye Lee of Kansas City, North, faces second-degree murder and armed criminal action charges in the incident late Saturday in the 7000 block of Northeast 51st Terrace in Kansas City, North. The victim was identified as Robbie L. Lee, 37, who lived at the residence. Bond was set at $750,000.

According to authorities, the victim said Tye Lee was lazy and needed to do more chores. The two argued and Tye Lee allegedly shot the victim once in the chest.
