Fire erupted Saturday at a Gladstone restaurant, with crews from several municipalities responding to the scene.

The blaze at the Smokehouse Bar-B-Que in the 6300 block of North Oak Trafficway was reported just after 5 p.m. According to initial reports, the fire likely started near the air conditioning units and spread to the roof and other parts of the building. Flames were reported in the main dining room and also had gone through the roof.

No injuries were reported. However, Gladstone summoned fire crews from Kansas City, Riverside and North Kansas City for assistance. No other details were available.
