Tigers force deciding fifth game in A.L. Division Series with 8-6 win over Athletics

The Detroit Tigers beat the Oakland Athletics 8-6 on Tuesday in Detroit to tie the American League Division Series and two wins apiece heading to a fifth and deciding game Thursday night in Oakland, Calif. The winner will play for the American League championship against the Boston Red Sox, who eliminated the Tampa Bay Rays with a 3-1 win Tuesday.
