An 8-year-old boy was shot late Monday when a drive-by gunman fired into a house in the 10000 block of Kessler Street. A woman and two younger children also were in the house when the shooter attacked about 11:45 p.m. The wounded boy was taken to a hospital with injuries that appeared to be non-life threatening. Witnesses told police they saw a dark colored sedan speed away from the area at the time of the shooting. Police had not arrested anyone by Tuesday morning. Anyone with information should call the TIPS Hotline at 816-474-TIPS (474-8477) or Overland Park police at 913-344-8750.
