A state prisoner was back in custody Saturday after leaving his Overland Park work site without permission.
Zackary Conger, 32, turned himself into the Lenexa Police Department shortly before 10 a.m. He left Laser Apparel about 4 p.m. on Friday.
Conger is a minimum custody offender housed at Lansing Correctional Facility. He is serving a 6 1/2-year sentence for crimes including multiple counts of burglary, forgery and theft in Butler and Sedgwick counties.
