A new transit center to aid in connecting The Metro bus service and the Unified Government Transit service will be dedicated at a 10 a.m. ceremony Friday at 47th Street and State Avenue in Kansas City, Kan.

The center at the site of the former Indian Springs mall is the culmination of a $13 million upgrade in bus service along the State Avenue corridor. The center includes an 11,000-square-foot building to house the Kansas City, Kan., Police Midtown Patrol Division.
