Thomas M. Sack, who studied chemistry at Rockhurst University and is now interim president and chief executive officer at MRIGlobal, has been named a 2013 winner of the school’s St. Ignatius Award.
The award recognizes exceptional achievement by an alumnus. Sack, who graduated with a bachelor of science degree from Rockhurst in 1980, will be recognized Saturday during the university’s family and alumni weekend.
Also being honored is Gary Belske, a 1977 graduate.
Sack joined MRIGlobal in 1985. He was named interim CEO and president of the Kansas City-based research organization in February.
