Kansas City police are seeking the public’s help to identify the hit-and-run driver who killed a pedestrian early Saturday.
The vehicle struck Robert Hays, 48, of Grandview as Hays walked on the Interstate 49 exit ramp to 155th Street just before 3 a.m. in far southern Kansas City. The small to midsize light-colored vehicle that hit him should have noticeable damage to the front end, said police Sgt. Bill Mahoney.
Witnesses told police the vehicle hit the victim and the driver fled without stopping. Police want additional witnesses, or anyone who knows of a vehicle matching the description that sustained recent damage, to call the TIPS Hotline at 816-474-TIPS (474-8477).
