So the rumors of trouble in paradise were true. Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth have called off their engagement.
We’re not ones to point a (foam) finger. But an unidentified source tells E! News that Miley was the one who pulled the plug “after coming to grips with Liam being what she believed was less than faithful to her."
Their reps confirmed the split to People magazine on Monday.
People wondered where “The Hunger Games” star was when Miley was twerking all over the stage at the MTV Video Music Awards in Brooklyn. Liam was nowhere in the building.
The two hadn’t been seen together in public since Aug. 8 at the L.A. premiere of his new movie, “Paranoia.”
Rumors had Liam doing everything from getting hot and heavy with “Mad Men” star January Jones at a pre-Oscars party in February – later allegedly sexting her – to partying in Vegas with Mexican actress Eiza Gonzalez.
Break-up talk picked up steam when Miley unfollowed Liam on Twitter over the weekend. Kiss. Of. Death.
The two met on the set of the 2010 movie, “The Last Song” and announced their engagement in May 2012.
