A gang of youths and young men robbed an elderly disabled veteran in his Grandview home twice in three days this week, police said.
On Sunday evening, seven males entered the man’s home in the 11900 block of Belmont Avenue and stole two handguns and a rifle. The 85-year-old resident was struck in the head when he resisted.
Late Tuesday afternoon, police said, many of the same males returned to the man’s home and stole several more weapons and ammunition.
The suspects were clearly visible in video from a home security system. Police are looking for a red Chevrolet Impala and a silver P.T. Cruiser with tinted windows. Anyone with information is asked to call the Tips Hotline a 16-474-TIPS (474-8477).
