KC police looking for gunman who opened fire at car on I-435 early Sunday

Kansas City police are looking for a motorist who shot into a rival’s car early Sunday on Interstate 435, hitting a 17-year-old boy in the foot.

The shooting occurred about 1:05 a.m. on the highway near Missouri 210. The victim was with three friends when they encountered a male acquaintance at a gas station on Front Street. The victims fled and headed onto the interstate.

The male followed, pulled alongside and fired six to eight shots at the victims. Police found four bullet holes in the victim’s rear driver’s side door and two holes in the dashboard near the steering wheel.
