With highs near 100 degrees, Kansas City could set record

The Kansas City region could be in store for a record-setting day as highs reach near 100 degrees Monday. The hottest day for the year in Kansas City has fallen in September only eight times, according to the National Weather Service in Pleasant Hill. The unseasonably hot conditions are expected to continue through Wednesday afternoon.
