KCK police dog finds, bites robbery suspect

A Kansas City, Kan., police dog tracked and bit a robbery suspect just before noon Thursday.

The robbery occurred just after 11 a.m. at a business in the 3800 block of State Avenue. The robber fired at least one shot during the robbery, but the business employee was not hurt.

After the robber fled on foot, police found a piece of clothing he had discarded nearby in the 3700 block of Washington Blvd. The dog was brought in to track the suspect, and found the suspect hiding nearby. Officers took the suspect into custody, and he was taken by ambulance to a hospital for treatment of the dog bite injury.

The extent of his injury was not available.
