A multiple-vehicle crash Friday morning created huge tie-ups for drivers on westbound Interstate 435.
The wreck forced the three right lanes of westbound I-435 to close near Nall Avenue. Only one lane of traffic was getting through.
As many as six vehicles were involved in the crash, said Officer Gary Mason, a spokesman for the Overland Park Police Department.
The crash caused traffic to quickly backup from Nall to the Three Trails Crossing. Traffic was being diverted off at Roe and Nall. The on-ramps at Roe and Nall to westbound I-435 were also closed, Mason said.
Speeds through the area were as low as 5 miles per hour, according to Kansas City Scout System.
One minor injury was reported in the wreck.
