A Good Samaritan reportedly pulled Dick Van Dyke out of a burning Jaguar on a Los Angeles highway Monday afternoon.

Van Dyke and his wife tweeted photos of the scorched car after the incident.

"He's fine thank God!!" Arlene Van Dyke wrote.

California Highway Patrol responded to a report of a burning vehicle on the right shoulder of the eastbound 101 Freeway near Calabasas about 2 p.m. Monday, reported the Los Angeles Times.

The police log noted that the driver was still inside the car, possibly unaware that the car was on fire.

Jason Pennington told TMZ that he was driving along the freeway when he saw a car full of smoke on the side of the road with an elderly man hunched over the steering wheel.

Pennington said he pulled over, ran up to the car and found the 87-year-old legendary actor struggling inside. He said he pulled the actor out as flames ripped through the Jaguar’s engine.

Neither man needed medical attention after the scary highway incident. Van Dyke’s wife reportedly arrived and took him home.

The Jag wasn’t so lucky. It was destroyed.

Arlene Van Dyke posted a Vine video from the scene showing the burned car and her husband talking to police.
