Kansas City police are investigating a double shooting early Sunday which left one man dead.
Police on Monday identified the victim as 35-year-old Jason L. Houcks.
Shortly after 3:30 a.m. Sunday officers reported hearing the sound of gunshots in the area of 73rd Street and Norton Avenue. Moments later officers arrived at a residence and learned that two men were shot and had been rushed a hospital by private vehicles. Houcks died; the second victim, a man in his late 20s, was in stable condition.
No other details were released, and no suspects were in custody.
