Police on Saturday identified the victim of a homicide at a midtown beauty salon as Cody Brown, 24.

Police said Brown, of Kansas City, was shot multiple times early Friday night at close range at the salon, located at 39th Street and Baltimore Avenue.

Police did not update the condition of a woman who suffered life-threatening injuries when she was shot.

Two men reportedly fled the scene on foot and were last seen heading west. Police have not released a complete description of the men.

The victims were thought to have been targeted.
