Kansas City police announced they will conduct a sobriety checkpoint sometime this weekend.
The checkpoint will be held between Friday and Sunday at an area known for alcohol-related crashes or arrests.
Signs will warn drivers that they are approaching a checkpoint. Officers will be on the street directing drivers to an area where police can determined whether someone might be driving under the influence.
Those suspected of drunken driving will be arrested.
