Last week, someone socked the Mariner Moose in the face – during a corporate event promoting public safety.
It happened Friday to the beloved mascot of the Seattle Mariners at a Boeing facility.
Seattle TV station KOMO News reported that at one point during the public safety day event, a Boeing employee socked the moose “in the snout.”
The Mariners reported that the mascot was not injured in the incident.
“Why would someone punch the moose?” one Mariners fan wondered.
One commenter on YouTube suggested that the Boeing employee did it to win a $100 bet.
We’re wondering if this a topic being covered at Mascot Boot Camp at Washburn University in Topeka this week.
Willie the Wildcat, the Royals’ Sluggerrr and others are training there with David Raymond, the former Phillie Phanatic, mascot for the Philadelphia Phillies.
