Kansas City police are looking for two men who broke into 72-year-old man’s home early Wednesday and used a shotgun to knock the victim unconscious.
The victim was asleep on his couch in the 3800 block of East 67th Terrace when a stranger shook him awake about 1:45 a.m. The stranger and a second person demanded money, but the victim said he didn’t have any.
The intruders took the victim’s revolver and a shotgun. One of the intruders hit the victim with the shotgun three to four times, knocking the victim out. He woke up in time to see the intruders fleeing his home.
The victim suffered a broken jaw and other injuries to his head, police said. Police did not release a description of the intruders.
