More football is coming to Kansas’ reconfigured Jayhawk Television Network.
The Jayhawks’ game at Texas on Nov. 2 will be broadcast in the Kansas City area on Metro Sports, which recently agreed to a partnership with KU athletics. The game, which also will be shown on Texas’ Longhorn Network outside of Kansas, is scheduled to kick off at 2:30 p.m. at Darrell K. Royal Stadium in Austin.
Metro Sports is also scheduled to broadcast KU’s season opener against South Dakota at 6 p.m. on Sept. 7 at Memorial Stadium. That game will be available outside the Kansas City area and Kansas through ESPN3, ESPN’s online streaming service. KU announced that statewide coverage plans for the Jayhawk Television Network games will be released soon.
Metro Sports is currently only available in the Kansas City area to subscribers of Time Warner Cable and Comcast and in Lawrence to subscribers of WOW.
