Man killed, woman wounded in shooting on East Eighth

Kansas City police are investigating a shooting early Sunday that left one man dead and a woman injured.

Police said officers found the victims when they arrived in the 2600 block of East Eighth Street at 1:15 a.m. The man was pronounced dead at the scene, and the woman had injuries that were not life-threatening.
