KCK shooting victim dies

A woman who found early Thursday in Kansas City, Kan., suffering from a gunshot wound has died, according to police.
Kansas City, Kan. police were called to a residence in the 1200 block of Everett Avenue at 8:20 a.m. in response to a shooting. Officers arrived and found a woman in her 20s, who had been shot, sprawled outside the residence. The victim was rushed to a hospital, where she later died.
The woman’s name will be released after relatives have been notified. No arrests have been made and no suspects were in custody Wednesday afternoon. Details of what led to the shooting were not immediately available.
