Sweet Springs man dies in motorcycle crash in Johnson County, Mo.

A 53-year-old Sweet Springs, Mo., man died late Thursday in a motorcycle crash in rural Johnson County, Mo.

Jerry W. Wilder, who was riding a 2011 Harley Davidson, was headed north on Missouri 23 when he ran off the road about 11:20 p.m. Thursday north of Knob Knoster.

Wilder entered a curve too fast near Northeast 900th Road by the Ralph and Martha Perry Memorial State Wildlife Area, according to a preliminary crash report by the Missouri Highway Patrol.

Wilder ran off the road and rolled the motorcycle. He was ejected and died.
