A man with a knife stole a car from a valet at St. Luke’s Hospital early Tuesday.

The 32-year-old valet said a woman dropped off her 2011 Subaru Forester in the valet roundabout about 5:40 a.m. and he drove it to a parking lot north of the hospital at 4300 Wornall Road. As he exited the car, two men on foot approached him. One man put a knife to his throat, told him to be quiet and ordered him to hand over the keys.

The knife-wielding man drove away in the Subaru. The other man walked away on foot, the victim told police.
