Police are looking for three teenage gunmen who robbed three women in separate holdups early Saturday in south Kansas City.

The first heist occurred about 1:45 a.m. in the 7400 block of Longview Road, where a woman was forced out of her vehicle at gunpoint by three males who appeared to be 16 to 18 years old. They forced her onto the ground and fled in her maroon minivan. She was not hurt.

At 3:30 a.m., three males pulled a maroon minivan next to a woman walking near 85th Street and Prospect Avenue. Two of the males jumped out of the van, punched her in the head several times and stole her cell phone. They then fled in the van, leaving her with minor injuries. The description of the suspects and their vehicle matched the first holdup, police said.

A few minutes later, three males accosted a woman in the parking lot of the Crescent Hotel at 5701 Longview Road, the woman told police. One put his hand on his waistband, as if he had a gun, and ordered her to drop her purse and cell phone. After she dropped the items onto the ground, the suspects picked them up and fled on foot toward Longview. She was not hurt.

Police later found the first robbery victim’s van abandoned in the hotel parking lot.

Anyone with information should call the TIPS Hotline at 816-474-TIPS (474-8477).
