Kansas City police are looking for the public’s help to identify two men who police believe committed three late-night Eastside robberies this month.
Detectives are also investigating whether the same men may be responsible for the holdup of the same liquor store twice.
Police released video images Monday of three robberies they linked to the suspects.
The first heist occurred about 10:10 p.m when two men with a gun barged into the Fast Stop at 4704 Blue Ridge Blvd. and stole $200, a bottle of Crown Royal and a carton of Newport cigarettes. They fled behind the store, where police believe a getaway vehicle was waiting.
Later, about 1:35 a.m., a robber wearing the same outfit and sunglasses as the Fast Stop robber entered a lingerie and adult gift store at 8910 E. U.S. 40 Hwy with a gun. He stole $200 from Bang Lingerie and Gifts and fled in an early- to mid-1990s gold-colored Ford Explorer.
Four days later, about 11 p.m. on June 18, the same vehicle returned to Bang Lingerie, and two armed men searched the store and stole $200 and a cell phone.
Both robbers were described as black 18- to 25-year-olds. One was 5 feet 4 inches to 5 feet 7 inches tall, weighing 140 to 160 pounds and had medium-length dreadlocks. The second robber was taller, about 5 feet 10 inches to 6 feet tall with short hair.
