Search crews are looking for two Missouri children, an 11-year-old boy and a 13-year-old girl, who disappeared from a home in St. Clair near the Meramec River.
Franklin County authorities say Scotty Warner and Erica Linsley were last seen about 9:40 p.m. Wednesday playing outside of Erica's home. The children are neighbors.
Authorities say they have no reason to believe the two are runaways, and there were no arguments or other reasons that would have led them to leave.
Searchers were on foot and using a helicopter and a boat in the Meramec. The area near the home is described as treacherous with mine shafts and caves.
Officials say the kids had a cellphone with them that was either turned off or the battery is dead.
