Police investigate three shootings in Kansas City

Three separate shootings were being investigate by police, who said none of the injuries was life-threatening.

Kansas City Police on Saturday were investigating three separate shootings that occurred during the early morning hours.

The identities of the injured persons in the apparently unrelated shootings were not available Saturday morning. None of the shootings was considered life-threatening, police said.

The first occurred about 2:50 a.m. in the area of Ninth Street and Van Brunt Boulevard. Police found one person shot at the scene. The victim was taken to a nearby hospital. There were no details available about the person’s condition, police said. No arrests had been made.

The second shooting occurred about 4:30 a.m. in the 6500 block of Blue Parkway. One wounded person found at the scene was taken to the hospital. No arrest had been made.

The third incident came in as a call to Kansas City police dispatchers of an apparent shooting after a wounded person walked in to North Kansas City Hospital and said they had been shot in Kansas City.

Police had no further details about that incident.
