Tom Bloch, a former chief executive of H&R Block Inc., has joined the board of EPR Properties.
He replaces James A. Olson, who has retired after 10 years on the board.
Bloch, the son of H&R Block co-founder Henry Bloch, has an extensive background in financial services and education. After leaving the tax preparation firm in 1995, Bloch began teaching and in 2000 co-founded University Academy. a Kansas City urban college preparatory public charter school.
Bloch is also chairman of the board of trustees at the University of Missouri-Kansas City.
EPR is a Kansas City-based real estate investment trust with an investment portfolio valued at more than $3.2 billion in three primary segments — entertainment, recreation and education.
