Five bands who had been scheduled to perform at the now-defunct Kanrocksas Music Festival will perform at Starlight Theatre on June 28, a Friday.

The headliner is Imagine Dragons, a four-piece rock band from Utah. Also on the bill: Capital Cities, Twenty One Pilots, Family of the Year and Churchill.

Tickets go on sale at 9 a.m. Friday. Prices $24.50 to $39.50. Show time is 5:30 p.m. Tickets are available at the

Starlight web site

, at the venue’s box office or by calling 816-363-7827.

The Kanrocksas festival had been scheduled for the weekend of June 28-29 at the Kansas Speedway but was canceled on May 28 due to poor ticket sales.

About five dozen bands had been scheduled to perform at the festival. Many of those bands now have open dates that weekend. More are expected to book shows in Kansas City that weekend; one already has.

Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros, one of the bigger names on the Kanrocksas bill, will perform at

Crossroads KC on June 29.
