Water boil advisory in KCK lifted

The boil precaution had been in place since Monday.

The Board of Public Utilities has lifted a water boil advisory for part of Kansas City, Kan., that was prompted Monday by reports of bad odor and taste.

The BPU said Tuesday that tests had confirmed the water is safe to drink and to use in cooking.

The affected area was north of County Line Road and south of Hagemann Street, between 53rd and 59th streets.
