Two killed, two injured in hit-and-run crash in Johnson County, Mo.

Two people died and two others suffered serious injuries in a hit-and-run crash in rural Johnson County, Missouri.

Vickie L. Brandkamp, 54, and Ronald D. Harvey, 53, both of Green Ridge, Mo., died in the crash about 10 miles west of Warrensburg, according to a preliminary crash report from the Missouri Highway Patrol.

Kelly D. Neth, 47, and Keith D. Roth, 47, both also from Green Ridge, Mo., were taken to a hospital.

None of them were wearing seatbelts, according to the crash report.

The crash occurred about 12:30 a.m. Sunday as they traveled east on U.S. 50 near Northwest 375 Road.

Harvey was driving when their vehicle was struck in the rear. He lost control and ran off the roadway, according to the highway patrol.

The vehicle then overturned and struck a tree.

The second vehicle left the scene, according to the highway patrol.
