Wyandotte County prosecutors have charged a 56-year-old man in connection with a wrong-way traffic crash that killed a Gardner man last year.
Jock Sidney Powell of Kansas City, Kan., is charged with involuntary manslaughter in the March 22, 2012, death of Christopher Keck.
Keck, 45, of Gardner, was driving on Interstate 635 in Kansas City, Kan., when his vehicle was struck head-on by another vehicle traveling south in the interstate’s northbound lanes, according to the report of the Kansas Highway Patrol, which investigated the crash.
Powell was arrested on the felony charge Friday. His bond was set at $25,000.
Keck was a married father of five children.
“I’m very glad he’s finally charged,” said his widow, Nicole Keck.
