Authorities accused a 19-year-old man Thursday of shooting and wounding three people earlier this week in Kansas City, Kan.
Kyle C. Longdon of Kansas City, Kan., was charged in Wyandotte County District Court with three counts of aggravated battery, and single counts of discharging a firearm at an occupied building and discharging a firearm at an unoccupied building.
The incident occurred during the evening rush hour Monday in the area of 25th Street and Metropolitan Avenue. Bullets wounded an adult and two juveniles and struck several nearby buildings, according to prosecutors. More than 20 shots were fired, they said.
Authorities are seeking others involved in the shooting and ask anyone with information to call the TIPS Hotline at 816-474-8477 or Roger Villanueva, an investigator in the district attorney’s office, at 913-573-2851.
Bond for Longdon, who is being held in the county jail, is set at $250,000.
